15-Minute
Discovery Call
The 15-minute Discovery Call is a complimentary consultation for those who desire to understand what myofunctional therapy is all about and explore how orofacial myofunctional disorders (OMDs) impact fundamentals of day-to-day living.
This call does not answer specific case-based questions as we are not able to accurately assess myofunctional disorders and/or concerns without an in-person, comprehensive assessment.

Each person is welcome to one complimentary Discovery Call.

Initial Comprehensive
Assessment
At our Initial Assessment we will review your health history from a holistic mindset, address your chief concern, and complete a comprehensive examination of the orofacial muscle skeletal functions — including photographs and videography.
Assessment findings will be reviewed together to determine the best course of action to take; whether we recommend to initiate myofunctional therapy or it's deemed best to refer to another health care provider prior to initiating or alongside myofunctional therapy.
If you require a referral to another healthcare professional, a written summary, along with appropriate supporting clinical documentation, will be forwarded with your consent. The umbrella of care often includes, but not limited to, the following practitioners: Medical Doctor, Naturopathic Doctor, Speech-Language Pathologist, Dentist, Orthodontist, Oral Surgeon, Ear Nose and Throat (ENT) Doctor. A summary of the Initial Assessment will be provided to you to take home and review at your leisure and/or use in conjunction with other healthcare providers.
How Young Can You Start Therapy?
Therapy is offered to individuals ages 4+ due to the nature of the program requiring excellent compliance, ability to follow direction and consist determination for successful outcomes. However, the age is not set in stone as we take into account that development and drive is different for everyone. Some children may not be ready until an older age while some may be ready as young as 3-years-old.
Parent/Guardian Role
It is important to note that when therapy is initiated with a minor, the parent/guardian plays a key role as the Coach. The Coach is expected to be actively present at all appointments to ensure they understand the prescribed exercises and how to best provide support at home.

Myofunctional
Therapy Session
Our therapy sessions are for those who have completed their Initial Assessment and it has been determined that myofunctional therapy is the recommended next step to correct your orofacial myofunctional disorder(s) (OMDs).

We will review your exercise regimen from the previous week, evaluate your progress, reassess goals accordingly and assign new, more advanced therapy where appropriate.

Please remember that like any physical therapy, success is based off of dedication and consistency.

If at any time you need clarification regarding a specific exercise or have any concerns and/or questions, please do not wait until your next scheduled therapy session. Please contact us at your earliest convenience so we can help you. We want to offer all the support needed for your success in a timely manner.

Therapy sessions are booked by Heather after an Initial Assessment has determined your need for therapy.
